About Alina
Hello! I’m Alina, and I was born and raised in Russia, where I lived for my entire life before moving to the U.S. three years ago. I scored 98 out of 100 on the state exam in Russian language and 96 in Russian literature, proving my mastery of a language filled with intricate vocabulary and hidden meanings. I write poetry and love reading, and I’m passionate about creating engaging, fun lessons. Besides teaching, I enjoy rock climbing and surfing, and I truly believe that anyone can become a virtuoso in the Russian language, just as they can excel in sports. Join me in this exciting journey of learning and discovery!

I’ve really enjoyed learning Russian with Alina. She asked about my preferred learning style and made sure the lessons felt relaxed and conversational rather than formal. We practice speaking, learn new vocabulary, and work on grammar in a fun, engaging way. The sessions never feel overwhelming, and even with just two lessons a week, I’ve already seen noticeable progress. I’m very happy I started working with Alina and would definitely recommend her.
