About Quinn

With over 5 years of experience as a piano tutor, I am passionate about guiding students through their musical journey with a focus on both technical skill and creative expression. My background in music began early in life, and my dedication to the piano led me to explore a wide range of styles, including classical, soul, pop, jazz, funk, and R&B. This diverse experience enables me to offer a comprehensive and engaging learning experience tailored to each student's needs and interests.

My teaching approach is centered around creating a solid foundation in classical techniques, which are crucial for developing technical proficiency and a deep understanding of musical theory. As students progress, I introduce them to various genres, allowing them to explore different styles and techniques. Whether it's mastering intricate classical pieces, improvising in jazz, or capturing the groove of funk and soul, my goal is to help students develop a versatile and personal playing style.

In addition to piano lessons, I offer instruction on harpsichord, synthesizer, and keyboard, providing students with a broad range of musical experiences. Each of these instruments offers unique challenges and opportunities, enriching the overall learning experience and expanding students' musical capabilities. Whether you're interested in the historical charm of the harpsichord or the innovative sounds of the synthesizer, I tailor my instruction to meet your specific interests and goals.

Creating a positive and encouraging learning environment is central to my teaching philosophy. I believe that patience, constructive feedback, and motivation are essential for fostering growth and confidence. My aim is to inspire students to enjoy their musical journey, reach their full potential, and develop a lifelong love for playing the piano. Through personalized and dedicated instruction, I strive to make a meaningful impact on each student's musical development.
