About Cameron
I’m an M.Ed. teacher candidate with experience teaching in Ontario classrooms and internationally, as well as more than 10 years working with young people in educational, community, and experiential learning settings. My academic background includes an MSc in Global Development Studies and a BA in International Development Studies.
I’m especially passionate about History, Politics, Social Sciences, and academic writing. I aim to make lessons approachable, engaging, and supportive while maintaining high expectations. My goal is to help students feel comfortable asking questions, strengthen their confidence, and develop the skills to become more independent learners.

My tutoring approach is student-centred, inquiry-based, and focused on building confidence and independence. I use discussion, guided questioning, modelling, and clear feedback to help students understand ideas rather than simply memorize information.
A typical lesson begins with a clear goal, followed by a short review, guided instruction, and practical application through activities such as source analysis, essay planning, assignment support, or test preparation.
What sets me apart is my range of experience across Ontario classrooms, international teaching, and youth-focused educational programs. I adapt lessons to each student’s strengths, needs, and learning style.
My lessons are best suited for Grades 7–12 students studying History, Politics/Civics, Social Sciences, and academic writing, as well as post-secondary students looking for support with research, essays, and argument development.
