About Flavia

My name is Flavia, and I am a qualified and dedicated educator with over 10 years of international teaching experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education, and I have worked with learners across different education systems and cultural backgrounds.

I am known for my professionalism, patience, and structured teaching style. I believe that every student can succeed when lessons are clear, supportive, and tailored to their individual needs. I take time to understand each learner’s strengths, challenges, and goals, and I adapt my teaching accordingly.

As a tutor, I value consistency, preparation, and clear communication. I plan my lessons carefully, arrive well prepared, and create a safe and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

My background in inclusive education allows me to effectively support students who may need extra guidance, confidence building, or individualized strategies. At the same time, I challenge motivated learners to think critically and reach their full potential.

Students and families appreciate my calm approach, reliability, and genuine commitment to learning. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop confidence, independence, and skills they can use beyond the classroom.

My Teaching Approach

My name is Flavia, and I am a qualified educator with over 10 years of international teaching experience in inclusive and diverse classroom settings. My approach as a tutor is student-centred, structured, and supportive, with a strong focus on building confidence, understanding, and long-term academic growth.

Teaching methodology and techniques

I use inclusive, evidence-based teaching methods that are adapted to each learner’s needs, pace, and learning style. My lessons combine clear explanations, guided practice, and regular feedback. I emphasize:

Differentiated instruction

Scaffolding and step-by-step learning

Active participation and discussion

Practical examples and real-life connections

Positive reinforcement to build confidence

For students who struggle, I break concepts down into manageable steps. For advanced learners, I extend lessons with deeper analysis and challenge activities.

A typical lesson plan

A typical lesson begins with a short check-in and review of previous learning. I then introduce new content using clear explanations and examples. This is followed by guided practice, where we work through tasks together, and independent practice to reinforce understanding. Each lesson ends with feedback, reflection, and a short plan for next steps or homework where appropriate.

Lessons are flexible and adapted in real time based on the student’s progress and needs.

What sets me apart as a tutor

What sets me apart is my background in Special and Inclusive Education, my calm and patient teaching style, and my ability to support learners who may feel anxious, discouraged, or overlooked. I focus not only on academic success, but also on helping students develop confidence, independence, and effective learning strategies they can use beyond our lessons.

I bring a global perspective from teaching in different education systems and working with learners from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
