About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily Bickel! I have a lot of experience working with students in both elementary and middle school, tutoring in both math and English classes. In addition, I have had over 15 hours of observation hours with a Speech/Language Pathologist, where we not only worked on homework but also on study habits and social skills. I also have 14 years of dance experience, including competitions, shows, workshops, small performances, and professional gigs. I worked as a camp counselor and love helping others reach their full potential.

I always go at the student's pace, still pushing towards improvement, but not forcing learning that is not happening. First I will analyze where the child is academically and ask what goals the student would like to meet. Then, we will set goals and deadlines in order to accomplish those goals. I adapt to the student's learning style as each child is different and should receive their tutoring in a way that they understand easily to maximize the amount learned with each session.
