About Laura

I currently teach 7th through 12th grade math and science, one on one, at a private alternative school. I have also taught 5th grade science at a charter school for gifted students, and have taught at the college level. I have taught all levels of middle and high school math and all of the major sciences.

About the lesson

I believe in active learning! I think most students learn more by doing than by just listening! I also genuinely enjoy math and science! I believe learning should be a positive, fun, empowering experience! I also am a firm believer in a growth mindset. Everyone has the ability to learn!
