About Magdalena
I am a recent Mathematics graduate from Cardiff University. I have shown outstanding results in maths, achievinga high 2:1, and I have taken part in the British Physics Olympiad in 2021 and the Senior Maths Olympiad in 2022, where I have been awarded a silver award for both.
I am currently a quantitative economist focusing on mathematical modelling and data science.
- I have tutored maths at many levels (KS2 to A-Level), over 1500 hours taught across eight years.
- I am experienced in different exam boards such as AQA or Edexcel, even Edexcel IGCSE
- Each one of my students has made significant progress in the subject, shown through increased confidence and better exam grades (many students surpassed their predicted mark).

I'm a strong believer that practice makes progress. It's often the case that students don't do well in maths because they aren't given enough practice questions and enough time to make mistakes and learn from them. That's why I ensure that my students fully understand a topic and are comfortable with a range of questions, before moving on to another topic. I like to use the 2-8 rule, where for every two example questions we go over, the student should do at least 8 practice questions.

Magda is an intelligent and dedicated friend who I have known since secondary school and have seen achieve excellent results. Aside from being an all-round kind and patient person, she helped to explain mathematical concepts to me and our group of friends by giving us examples, allowing us to understand how to work through exam questions. Her motivation is contagious and I know that any student will be lucky to have her as a tutor.
