About Maria Regine
’m a math curriculum writer and tutor based in the Philippines. I graduated with a degree in computer science from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
For almost seven years, I worked as a content writer at an online math learning platform, writing and checking math lessons for schools in Australia, the UK, the US and Canada. My work covered everything from elementary math to senior high school calculus. I also led the team that built interactive GeoGebra activities for these lessons.
Before that, I taught math at a private school and tutored students in math and computer skills. I also run a math YouTube channel for students who find math difficult, with lessons in English and Tagalog.
I care a lot about accuracy and clear explanations, and I enjoy helping students feel more confident with math.

I teach math from middle school to college level, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics and calculus.
My lessons focus on understanding, not memorizing steps. I start by finding out what you already know and where you get stuck. Then I explain the idea using visuals, worked examples and interactive GeoGebra tools, so you can see how a graph or shape changes as you move it. After that, you get practice questions that build up in difficulty.
A typical lesson:
-a short review of the last topic
-a new concept, explained step by step
-guided practice together
-a few questions to try on your own, with feedback
For almost seven years, I’ve written and reviewed math lessons, worksheets and assessments for an online learning platform used in Australia, the UK and the US. I’ve also designed hundreds of interactive GeoGebra activities for students from elementary to senior high school. I’ve taught math at a private school and tutored students from basic algebra to calculus. I hold a degree in computer science.
Lessons are for students who want help with schoolwork, exam preparation, or catching up on topics they’ve found difficult. I’m patient, and I’m happy to go at your pace.
