About Stacy

With a solid academic background, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Statistics, providing a comprehensive understanding of mathematical concepts and statistical methodologies. Over the span of more than a decade, I've honed my expertise as a tutor, specializing in Mathematics, Statistics, and programming languages such as Python and SQL. Throughout my extensive tutoring career, I've worked with students across diverse educational levels, tailoring my approach to accommodate the unique learning needs of each individual. My rich academic background, coupled with my practical experience in tutoring, equips me with the knowledge and skills to effectively impart complex mathematical concepts and programming skills to students at various stages of their academic journey.

About the lesson

As a math tutor, I prioritize understanding over memorization through personalized, active learning. My approach includes:

1. Assessing the student's current level and goals.
2. Fostering conceptual understanding through real-life examples and visual aids.
3. Engaging students in problem-solving and discussions.
4. Providing scaffolded learning with incremental difficulty.
5. Offering constructive feedback and encouraging reflection.

A typical lesson plan involves reviewing previous material, introducing new concepts, guided and independent practice, and summarizing key points. My emphasis on personalized instruction and problem-solving sets me apart. Lessons cater to students of all levels, from elementary to college, and are adaptable to specific needs and goals.
