I’m a student at Cornell University, majoring in Mathematics and Economics. My background gives me a strong foundation in problem-solving and analytical thinking, which I bring into my tutoring sessions. Personalized Math Tutoring for Middle & High School Students I believe that every student learns differently, and my goal as a tutor is to adapt my teaching to their individual needs. I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation while also improving problem-solving skills and critical thinking. My sessions emphasize: - Step-by-step explanations to break down complex math concepts into manageable parts. - Real-world applications to make math engaging and relevant. - Interactive problem-solving to reinforce learning through guided practice. - Tailored learning strategies based on the student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Typical Lesson Plan: - Warm-up: Quick review of previous topics or short mental math exercise. - Concept Introduction: Explanation of the new topic with real-life examples. - Guided Practice: Working through example problems together, discussing different approaches. - Independent Practice: The student works on problems while I provide guidance as needed. - Review: Summarizing key takeaways and addressing any remaining questions.
