About Oz
I am in the second year of my BSc Physics & Mathematics degree at the University of Glasgow. I love problem solving and gaining a deeper understanding of the world around me.
I have two years of experience volunteering as a tutor and I would love to help others gain more confidence and improve their skills in mathematics and physics. I believe in teaching a "growth mindset" rather than a "fixed mindset", which means students view themselves not as inherently "good" or inherently "bad" at a subject, but rather that their skills can be developed through hard work and practice.

Every student learns slightly differently, which is why I try to teach in whatever way works best for my pupil and be responsive to feedback. Generally, maths and physics are subjects which are best understood by doing. Physics and maths especially are skill-based subjects, which means that regular practice is essential to improvement.
