About Joyita
Hello, my name is Dr. Joyita Pal. Let me tell you a little bit more about myself - I joined medical school in the year 2014, and passed out in the year 2020. During that time, I was consistently scoring well, even though I got diagnosed with cancer in my second year, I still managed to score a 70%. Post MBBS, I took some time off to deal with my mental health. Following that, I passed PLAB 1, and PLAB 2 - currently I am pursuing my GMC (UK) registration, while simultaneously studying for the PG entrance exam in the UK.

Needless to say, I have spent a lot of time studying. Also, during my medical school - I created a YouTube channel to showcase my teaching, which can still be found online - which you can reference for my teaching methods. Now coming to my teaching methods - the thing to know is that medicine can be very hard to study. I have seen many students give up and leave medical college because they can't cope with the amount of pressure. That is why I focus on making sure that my students understand the topic that we are talking about. It is not possible to score high or even pass with just rote memorization - trust me I have tried. So I focus on concept building, such that you do not forget the topic easily, and can reproduce it in the exams. A general structure of my class will be - you telling me the topic that you want to study for that class, then we spend the 1st half learning the core concepts of the class - then we are going to proceed to make sure you can reproduce that concept in various scenarios. That is all I need to say about myself now. I am looking forward to seeing you in my class. Bye.
