About Vanshika
Hello! I'm an MBBS student and a passionate dancer with over 12 years of training in Kathak, one of India's most celebrated classical dance forms. Dance has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember, and over the years I have developed not only strong technical skills but also a deep appreciation for the art, culture, and storytelling that dance brings to life.
Alongside earning a formal Kathak degree, I have explored various Indian folk and contemporary dance styles, allowing me to bring versatility and creativity into my teaching. I have also choreographed performances for cultural events, stage shows, and weddings, gaining valuable practical experience in performance preparation and choreography.
As both a student and a teacher, I understand that everyone learns differently. My goal is to create a friendly, encouraging, and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. I focus on building strong fundamentals while ensuring that every class remains engaging and enjoyable.
Beyond dance, my journey as an MBBS student has strengthened my discipline, patience, communication skills, and commitment to continuous learning—qualities that I bring into every lesson. Whether you want to learn Kathak, explore Indian folk dances, prepare for a performance, or simply dance for enjoyment and fitness, I would be delighted to help you achieve your goals.

My approach to teaching dance is centered around making learning enjoyable, structured, and confidence-building. Having trained in Kathak for over 12 years and earned a formal Kathak degree, I combine strong technical foundations with creativity and self-expression. As someone who also loves exploring various Indian folk and contemporary dance styles, I encourage students to appreciate the richness and diversity of Indian dance.
A typical class begins with warm-up exercises and basic movement training, followed by technique practice, rhythm work, and choreography. Depending on the student's level and goals, classes may focus on Kathak fundamentals, folk dance styles, performance preparation, wedding choreography, or improving stage presence and expression. I believe in breaking down complex movements into simple, easy-to-follow steps so that every student can progress comfortably.
What makes my teaching unique is my emphasis on understanding the "why" behind movements rather than simply memorizing steps. I focus on posture, rhythm, expressions, storytelling, and confidence, helping students become well-rounded performers. Having choreographed dances for weddings and stage performances, I also share practical performance tips and real-world experience.
My classes are suitable for children, teenagers, college students, and adults. Whether you are a complete beginner looking to learn a new skill, a student interested in Indian classical dance, or someone preparing for a performance or competition, I tailor lessons to your individual learning style and goals. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and enjoy the art of dance at their own pace.
