About Ameer
My name is Ameer, I have just finished my first year at medical school at the University of Cambridge and throughout my school life, especially admissions process, I remember how challenging and stretched I was as a student and I strive to use my past experience to impact the next generation of uni students. I taught A level biology, chemistry and Maths, as well as German, in a school-ran clinic during my lunch breaks so that I can get a good grasp of teaching. When I was aspiring to medical school I helped start our school's Medsoc tailored around medical school admissions and used my knowledge to help younger years that wanted to pursue medicine. At Cambridge I am part of the outreach commitee where I got to meet many aspiring medics from different backgrounds and tried to help them with their developing applications.

I believe in active learning where students are put into an environment where they feel comfortable being put on the spot and asked to think out loud so that I can provide directed feedback to tailor my lessons towards weak spots and expand on my student's knowledge. It is important to remember that consistency is the key to growth, throughout my first year in medical school and during school I have had opportunities to work with different kinds of learners and being taught in different ways.
