About Thaila
Hello! My name is Tahira and I am a medical student as well as a tutor. I have taught since I was in sixth form, and mainly teach people who are about to sit their GCSEs. I aim to make all lessons engaging and fun for the student, as opposed to an hour of me talking at you!
My main method of teaching is by going through GCSE and A-Level papers and answering the questions together. Not only does this give you a real example of questions you could be asked in exams, but it also teaches you how to use the mark scheme to your advantage, recognise patterns in questions and predict possible questions that could come up in your real exams.
I have a passion for teaching and so am always happy for students to ask as many questions as needed, no question is a silly question. As a medical student too I am happy to give university application advice to any aspiring medical/dental students, or general UCAS help!

I offer weekly remote tutoring lessons to students sitting their GCSE and A-Level exams. I am a kind and empathetic tutor, who tailors all lessons to suit the individual needs of the student.
Lessons are typically 1-2 times per week and run for 1 hour each, and involve exam paper walkthroughs and reference to mark schemes and specifications to teach students how to answer questions in the most efficient way possible, gaining as many marks as possible, and also to emphasise the importance of timing.
I have 7 years of tutoring experience and achieved grades 7-9 in my GCSEs, as well as A*A*A in my A-Levels (Biology, Maths and Chemistry respectively) so am confident in my subject knowledge and ability to teach others. I am currently studying medicine at a London university and graduate as a doctor next year.
