About Fiona

Hello! I am an electronic music producer, live performer, DJ, sound engineer and event producer and I would love to share my knowledge!

I have been performing and giving lessons since I was in highschool, even helping the very young as a Kids Party Entertainer and giving music lessons.

I have recently refreshed my knowledge and would love to share my skills in:
Electronic music production, composition and management,
Live performance!
Hearing and physics - developing intimacy with sound as a medium
Complex interactions in building sounds with modular synthesis
Engaging with hardware in a software based world - synthesis and outboard processing
Electronic music for film and screen
Compositional methods as a path to deeper sonic engagement
Creating work for multichannel diffusion and VR Spatialization - beyond 5.1 surround sound
Festival Curation & electronic artists.
Licensing and royalties
Fundraising and grant application for electronic sound & music artists
Mastering for vinyl, CD and streaming services

If this is something you would love to learn I would love to teach you :)

About the lesson

My teaching method is completely tailored around YOU based around my students strengths and interests.

I base my classes around a fundamental grasp of the history and basics of the music we are learning with an exploration of creativity and the weird future of electronic music and Djng.

I aim to make each class engaging and fun whilst we work on a piece to gradually perform in an event I will help devise.

My philosophy is everyone can learn to express their creativity musically and I will take them at their own pace to give them access to this world.

Fiona is a patient and understanding tutor who explained things clearly, as well as in different ways when I didn’t understand something. She really helped build my confidence with music production and has an interesting and creative perspective on many techniques and conventions. Thanks for teaching me Fiona, highly recommend her!
