About Philo
I am an MEng Aeronautical Engineer who has helped a number of friends and family across multiple fields and education levels over the years. I break down the topics that seem complex and incomprehensible into logical steps that go from basics to the required level, ensuring a continuous line of understanding.
I am happy to look into the topics you need and help you understand them from their foundations upwards, not only helping you understand this bit but also building on it.
I have many interests at different levels of comfort with tutoring at the level I consider appropriate. These include chess, maths, physics, engineering principles, computational fluid dynamics, CAD, and more.
I am passionate about ensuring your confidence in the subject, because you shouldn't have to just get through it. I am patient and very willing to repeat explanations in different ways until you are confident.

My approach varies depending on each student's style. The suggested approach is to identify the area of improvement and focus on conceptual understanding, then quick practice to ensure sound understanding. Sessions can be 1 to 2 hours depending on the depth and number of topics to be explored. Lessons available for all ages and skill levels where applicable. I look forward to adapting the sessions to your needs to best help you on your learning journey.
