Motivating, fun and encouraging tutor ready to be paired up with a lovely little human being to teach them all the wonders of the world

Kathleen has been providing English tutoring for my daughter Leia since Sep 2020. Leia significantly improved her comprehension skills as well as her writing skills and according ti her latest school report, i English she is performing above expectations.

Kathleen Sleigh comleted her final year pre service placement at Alamanda College teaching grade 3 students. During this time she planned consecutive lessons in numeracy and literary and delivered the lessons to a high standard. She catered to individual students’ needs and adjusted the program based on her knowledge of the varying abilities of students. She used the Victorian curriculum and the IB curriculum to guide her planned lessons. She attended all staff meetings and regularly contributed to meetings. Kathleen was committed to developing her teaching skills by regularly engaging in professional conversations. In her time at Alamanda, she also planned assessments for students tracking their progress and giving feedback to students whilst working with students on future learning goals.
