About Adwait
I am a huge enthusiast in microbiology and the microbiome. My interest in it grew during my bachelor's upon realising the ubiquitous nature of them on and inside our body. Building on this enthusiasm, I specialised in microbiome research for my master's degree.
Meanwhile, I kept enjoying reading captivating news articles and videos related to the microbiome and that led me to science communication. Hence, I joined science writer in academic societies at Imperial where I wrote engaging articles and newsletters.
However, I felt a huge sense of satisfaction when I volunteered at the Great Exhibition Road Festival in London, where I taught young children about the process of scientific research in simple terms. This public engagement activity brought me closer to teaching and felt that it can help me arouse interest in scientific research amongst young generation.
Hence, I am ready to dedicate certain part of my day to teach difficult concepts to young audience and arouse subject interest via tutoring.

I usually take a 1:1 approach to teach students. I like to make use of interactive resources, visuals and AI tools to make students relate the concepts well with their daily lives. While teaching, I consider myself, not just a tutor expounding concepts but also a supervisor who will give good guidance. My lessons will last for an hour or two and are applicable for students doing GCSE, A levels and even undergraduates.
My prior experience of teaching has been to explain basic concepts of microbiology to school children using simple language.
