About Uriel
Music has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. As a trained music educator and performer, I’ve spent years helping students discover their voice—whether through piano keys, vocal tones, or instrumental expression. My background in music education allows me to connect strong technical foundations with creativity and heart, guiding students to not only play well but understand the music they’re creating. Over the years, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults in both school and private settings, adapting lessons to meet each student’s learning style and goals. I believe music education is most powerful when it’s personal—when students feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow. My teaching is rooted in patience, clear communication, and a genuine love for helping others uncover their musical potential. Students describe my lessons as encouraging, structured, and full of energy. I see every learner as capable of meaningful progress, no matter their starting point. If you’re looking for a teacher who blends professional training with genuine care and creativity, I’d be honored to guide your musical journey. — Uriel

As a music educator, I believe learning music should be both skill-building and soul-shaping. My approach combines solid technical instruction with creativity, reflection, and confidence-building. Whether we’re working on piano, singing, or a wind instrument, I aim to help students understand not just how to play—but why the music matters.
A typical lesson begins with a brief warm-up and check-in, followed by skill or technique work that fits the student’s current level. From there, we move into applying those skills through repertoire, improvisation, or ear training. Each lesson closes with reflection and a goal to guide home practice. My students learn to listen deeply, express themselves authentically, and connect music to their own stories.
What sets me apart is my background in both music education and performance across multiple instruments—piano, voice, bass guitar, and winds to name a few. I draw from over two decades of classroom and private teaching experience, which helps me adapt to different learning styles and ages. I teach with patience, humor, and structure, always aiming to balance progress with joy.
My lessons are open to beginners discovering music for the first time, intermediate students building technique, and adults returning to music after time away. Every student learns at their own pace, and I’m here to guide that journey with clarity and encouragement.

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Uriel as an outstanding music instructor. I was Uriel's employer and direct supervisor for nine years, during which time he taught music to students ranging from PreK3 all the way through 8th grade in our program, under my direction.
Uriel is, quite simply, an amazing person and an even better educator. His long tenure with us speaks volumes, but more importantly, his students absolutely love him. He has a truly unique ability to connect with every age group, from the youngest preschoolers to the oldest middle schoolers.
He brings a phenomenal combination of traits to every lesson: he is funny, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable in his craft, while also being incredibly patient and genuinely caring with his students. This blend ensures that learning music is not just educational, but genuinely fun and inspiring.
I recommend Uriel without hesitation to anyone looking for music lessons. While my direct experience supervising him involved students from PreK3 through 8th grade, I know adults who have taken lessons with him and have been extremely happy with his professionalism and teaching.
It's really simple: he is one of the best music teachers I have ever worked with, and I am confident that anyone—from a beginner taking their very first lesson to an advanced student looking to refine their skills—will benefit greatly from his expertise and dedication.View more recommendations
