About Adrian
I graduated in 2006 from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro with a Bachelor's in Deaf/HoH Education. I have worked as a special education teacher in the public school system for 20 years. Throughout my career, I have achieved additional licensure for grades 6-9 English Language Arts, National Board Certification and Re-certification, Reading Research to Classroom Practice trainer, Dyslexia Delegate, and multiple excellence in education awards.
I adhere to all ethical and confidentiality standards as a licensed educator and state employee.
I love helping students, and always maintain a professional, caring and positive attitude during sessions. My sessions are calm, stress-free and productive!

I offer private tutoring with 1:1 or small group support in many academic areas. I am a licensed Special Education teacher for grades K-12, and licensed English Language Arts teacher grades 6-9, and have the knowledge and skills to work with students with disabilities including learning and behavioral differences.
I am able to help students with multiple school subjects and academic skills, including reading (basic reading skills and comprehension), writing, spelling, vocabulary, study skills, organization and time-management.
I can help with homework, writing papers, becoming a more accurate and fluent reader, and preparing for exams.
My support is tailored to student needs- there is no 'one size fits all' approach! I will get to know students' individual needs, and come up with a plan that works best for your schedule and budget.
