About Vivian
Hi! I’m Vivian, a friendly and organized Master of Teaching student with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students enjoy learning.
Having grown up across both Western and Asian environments, I’ve developed an open-minded and empathetic perspective that helps me understand students from different backgrounds and learning styles. I’m a relaxed and approachable person, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.
I have always achieved highly academically, but I was never motivated by pressure. I believe genuine curiosity and enjoyment come before academic success. My goal is to make every lesson encouraging, engaging and something students can look forward to.

My lessons combine clear structure, patience and empathy. As a current Master of Teaching student and recent secondary school graduate, I understand common learning challenges and can identify misunderstandings from a student’s perspective. I structure lessons clearly and adapt explanations to each student’s pace, level and learning style.
Lessons typically run for 1–2 hours, tailored to the student’s needs and goals. I have experience volunteering as a student peer tutor during high school, supporting younger students during lunch breaks, and I hold a Working with Children Check.
I teach Primary–Year 12 Chinese, including IB, VCE and HSC students.
