About Kiko
Native Fluency – Spoke Mandarin my whole life; no awkward textbook phrases—just natural, real Chinese. JEI Learning Center Work Experience – Taught students of all ages, so I know how to make grammar click for beginners. Beyond the Textbook – Love Chinese dramas, music, and internet slang? Me too! Learn casual phrases, jokes, and how people actually talk. You Won’t Just Memorize—You’ll Communicate. Need to order boba like a local? Want to understand TikTok trends or drama dialogues? Tired of robotic "textbook" convos? Let’s fix that. Let’s make Chinese feel alive—not like homework.

[My Approach as a Chinese Tutor]
Teaching Style:
Interactive – Focus on speaking & sentence-building, not just memorization.
Structured – Break grammar into simple, logical steps.
Encouraging – Mistakes are part of learning!
Typical Lesson (60 min):
Warm-Up (5 min) – Quick review (e.g., "What’s this?" with pictures).
New Topic (15 min) – Introduce 5-7 words (e.g., colors) with Pinyin + characters.
Sentence Practice (25 min) – Build from simple to complex:
"这是红色。" (This is red.) → "我喜欢红色。" (I like red.)
Conversation (10 min) – Role-play (e.g., shopping, asking preferences).
Wrap-Up (5 min) – Recap + fun homework ("Text me 3 sentences!").
Why Me?
Beginner-Friendly – I help bridge the gap between knowing words and making sentences.
Practical Focus – Learn phrases you’ll actually use.
Patient & Clear – No overwhelm—just steady progress.
Perfect For You If:
You know Pinyin + some characters but freeze when speaking.
You want to think in Chinese, not translate word-by-word.
Example Topic (Colors):
Words: 红 (hóng), 蓝 (lán), 绿 (lǜ).
Sentences:
这是绿色的树。 (This is a green tree.)
你喜欢红色吗？ (Do you like red?)
Let’s turn your scattered words into real conversations!
