About Liliana

Why Learn Spanish With Me? Learning a new language can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! As a native Colombian speaker and healthcare professional, I bring a unique approach to teaching that puts you at the centre of every lesson. My Promise to You You’ll feel comfortable from day one. Working in healthcare has taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and really listening to people. I create a relaxed, judgement-free environment where making mistakes is part of learning - not something to fear. Whether you’re shy about speaking or worried about your accent, I’ll help you build confidence naturally. Your goals become my goals. Everyone learns Spanish for different reasons. Maybe you’re planning a trip to Spain, helping your child with homework, advancing your career, or connecting with Spanish-speaking family members. Whatever your reason, I’ll design lessons specifically around what matters to YOU - not a one-size-fits-all textbook approach. Real Spanish, real conversations. Forget boring grammar drills! While we’ll cover the essentials, my focus is getting you speaking from the very first lesson. We’ll have real conversations about topics you actually care about - your hobbies, your work, your life. You’ll learn the Spanish people really use, including the colourful expressions and cultural insights you won’t find in textbooks. Flexible and understanding. Life happens - I get it. As a mum of two, I understand busy schedules, unexpected changes, and the juggling act we all do. I’ll work with you to find lesson times that fit your life, and I’m always happy to adjust our pace and focus based on how you’re progressing. What Makes Colombian Spanish Special? Colombian Spanish is often considered the clearest and easiest to understand in Latin America. What you learn with me will serve you everywhere Spanish is spoken - from Madrid to Mexico City, from Argentina to the United States. Plus, you’ll get an authentic taste of Colombian culture - our music, food, traditions, and warm approach to life! Let’s Start Your Journey Learning Spanish opens doors - to new friendships, career opportunities, travel experiences, and ways of seeing the world. I’d love to be part of your journey and help you discover how rewarding (and fun!) learning a language can be.

Liliana is a fantastic Spanish tutor! She’s patient, friendly, and makes learning enjoyable. Her lessons are well organised and tailored to my level, and I’ve already noticed big improvements in my confidence when speaking Spanish. I’d highly recommend her to anyone in Belfast (or online) who wants to learn with a real native speaker.
