About George
I am currently studying History of Art at the University of Edinburgh and have a strong academic background in English, having achieved an 8 (A*) in IGCSE English and a B at A-Level. My passion for language and communication extends beyond the classroom — I have previous experience helping children in England improve their English speaking and reading skills, both in one-on-one and group settings. Through these experiences, I have developed a patient, encouraging teaching style that focuses on building confidence as well as skill. I enjoy creating engaging, tailored activities that make learning both effective and enjoyable, whether for young learners or adults.

I am a native English speaker with a clear, neutral accent and a passion for helping learners feel confident in real-world conversations. I offer personalised English speaking lessons that focus on improving pronunciation, expanding vocabulary, and developing fluency in everyday and professional contexts.
My approach is friendly, supportive, and adaptable — whether you’re preparing for an interview, travelling abroad, studying for exams, or simply looking to speak more naturally. We will practise authentic dialogues, role-play real-life situations, and work on your listening comprehension so you can respond with ease and confidence.
What I Offer:
Conversational English for beginners to advanced learners
Accent reduction and pronunciation coaching
Vocabulary building for travel, work, or study
Interview preparation and public speaking skills
Tailored lessons based on your personal goals
I believe learning a language should be engaging and enjoyable. Together, we’ll create a safe space for you to practise without fear of mistakes — because mistakes are just steps towards progress.

He is friendly with a good sense of humour.George is a fantastic guy! He has helped me with my English speaking as I am an international student at Edinburgh with him. He is very relaxed and lets you take your own time when working with him. He makes me feel confident which is great. Would highly recommend!
