My teaching style is flexible, student-centered, and very practical. I don’t believe in forcing students into a rigid lesson structure, instead I believe in adapting my teaching to each learner’s level, goals, and pace. I’ve been tutoring for years and I’m currently in the process of completing my TESOL certification, which has helped me further refine how I explain, structure, and support language learning.
Teaching Methodology and Techniques
I always start by getting a sense of my student’s English level. This helps me understand what they already know, where they struggle, and what they want to improve. From there, I build lessons around them.
I focus a lot on clarity and confidence. I explain grammar in a simple, understandable way and immediately connect it to real scenarios. I use conversation, examples, repetition, and gentle correction so students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. I adjust my explanations as needed; if something doesn’t click, I will explain it differently.
A Typical Lesson Plan
For one-on-one lessons, sessions are fully personalized. A typical lesson might include:
A short warm-up or conversation
Focused work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or exam skills
Practice through speaking, writing, or listening
Clear feedback and corrections
A quick recap and optional practice to work on after class
When teaching multiple students, I use a modified standard lesson plan as a base structure, but I keep it flexible and interactive. I adjust the pace and content depending on how the class is responding and what the group needs most.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I’m very adaptable and easy to work with. I’m comfortable teaching a wide range of students and learning goals, and I’m good at adjusting on the spot. I create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable speaking and asking questions. My goal is always to make English feel less intimidating and more usable in real life.
Who My Lessons Are For
I’m open to teaching students of all levels and backgrounds, including:
Non-native English speakers living or studying in English speaking countries
Students preparing for English tests like Duolingo, TOEFL, or similar exams
Learners who want to improve conversational English
Beginners to advanced students, both academic and non-academic
I’m flexible with both individual and group lessons, and I always adapt my teaching style to suit the student or class.

Angel was very patient with me and explained it perfectly. She used visual so I could keep track and suggested breaks so I didn’t get too overwhelmed overall she was amazing! :)
Best tutor I’ve ever had. Super understanding and extremely patient. Made sure I understood the concepts as a whole and not just how to solve one question. Her methods made sure I could apply what I learned in other questions/scenarios. Definitely recommend.
