About Anna
I am a very patient teacher who has taught English to students in Puerto Rico and in the United States who came from a variety of countries and cultures all over the world. I grew up in Florida, where I have enjoyed interacting with international people. Even my husband is from South America! I have also studied several other languages and can relate to learners' struggles to perfect their second language.

My lessons build on what the student already knows, so I'm careful to keep my English comprehensible through simplified language or tailored to the student's level. Generally, a lesson will start with a warm-up with familiar language, followed by new vocabulary or grammar structures introduced in context and opportunities to interact with the new elements. Although I'm a native speaker, I'm also fluent in Spanish and at an intermediate level in Portuguese and can clarify meaning in those languages if needed. I'm also learning Cantonese, and I know how it feels to try to communicate in another language. My lessons are for anyone who wants to improve their English skills no matter for what purpose.
