About Tamina
I am an seasoned tutor, holding a first-class English literature degree and 8+ years of experience, available for students needing support around English literature.
I know all too well how much practice and rigour literary analysis requires as a skill. I have spent years of studying it and teaching the techniques and thinking that go into understanding a piece of art and discussing it. Across different curricula and media (poetry, fiction, articles, etc.), I have come to learn the expectations of A Level, IB, and university-level graders. I equip students to work to these students, whilst imparting the joy that can come from this kind of dissection.

I'm a flexible teacher, I adapt lessons, content, and structure to the needs of each student as they present themselves. I'm comfortable planning lessons ahead, supplying work and practice materials between lessons. However, I'm equally at ease with being spontaneous each time and answering questions and tackling difficulties as they come. I'm conscious that, often, teaching needs a combination of both.
