About Ryan

Hello! My name is Ryan, a McGill University student, native French speaker, and finalist of the Concours Général de Français 2023, the most prestigious academic competition for French literature and writing. I’ve also won a national eloquence contest, which deepened my passion for speeches and rhetoric. I bring professionalism, energy, and structure to every lesson. I tailor my teaching to each student’s pace and goals and make a full diagnosis of their strengths and weaknesses, whether you want to improve your grammar, succeed in exams, build confidence in speaking, or write with precision and style. I’m here to help you truly master the French language with patience, clarity, and structure. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, I’ll guide you with care and commitment.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I combine academic rigor with an engaging, student-centered approach. My methodology adapts to the student’s goals: I identify their strengths and weaknesses, then build personalized lessons focused on clarity, structure, and methodology in both written and spoken French.

What sets me apart is my track record of academic excellence — as a Concours Général finalist, which is considered as the most prestigious writing contest in France, and a national eloquence contest winner, I’ve been trained at the highest level in both written precision and public speaking. I teach students how to, write and speak like top-tier Francophones.

These lessons are ideal for:

High school and CEGEP students preparing for exams or competitions

University students wanting to master academic or argumentative writing

Adults aiming to improve fluency, public speaking, or writing professionally

Anyone seeking to express themselves with confidence and elegance in French

My goal is to make French not just something you understand, but something you master and a language that you will enjoy . You will master speaking skills as well as writing methodology.

Taking Ryan as my English professor was one of the best decisions and investments I have made and within a short period of time felt far more confident in my ability to speak and read. Could not recommend him more.
