It's great to see you here.
Some facts for you to get to know me better:
Both of my parents are from Cambodia and they have taught me how to speak, write and read since I was little!
I grew up in Germany where my family is teaching Khmer at institutes and translating which is why I have access to many different sources/material.
They have also passed on the knowledge about methods of teaching and structuring lessons to me which I apply to my own lessons that I am offering.
It's a great experience to share our khmer culture and to help you getting to know our language, country and people.

About the lesson

These lessons are suitable for anyone wanting to learn the basics of khmer or to further improve existing skills!
The main focus lies on practical conversational skills, getting familiar with the script, the pronunciation and understanding basic grammar rules of Khmer.
We will hold our lessons on Zoom and I will send you a recorded version after each lesson for you to practise by actively listening over again, as well.
Depending on your needs, I will structure our lessons according to that! We can shift our focus to writing/ reading/ listening if preferred.
Our work material is 'Cambodian for Beginners' by Rickard K. Gilbert (Second Edition) plus I also provide some additional sheets.
