About Yun Hong
I have been successfully teaching language subjects to high school and college students as a private tutor for some time now. Currently an Electrical Engineering student at Imperial College, I am also capable of teaching other science and math subjects at school level.
My classes can be held both in-person and online. This flexible hybrid model has allowed me to reach out and teach students in different countries. I have successful students from these past five years that have not only commended my work ethic but can also stand testament to my enthusiasm.

My students come from a broad profile spectrum. I've worked with all age groups, from primary school to university, and even people in their retirement years.
My teaching approach is built on two principles: skill development and adaptation. After creating a skeleton of the most appropriate methodology adapted to the selected curriculum, I adapt the classes to the individual needs of the student based on their knowledge and understanding of the language. Whether you're a novice or an expert, I'll tailor my teaching tools to meet your needs. For beginners, I'll use more fundamental words to help you establish a basic discussion. I'll also use real-life situations to help high-level learners improve their speaking and listening skills.
Last but not least, I believe in the need of providing parents with regular feedback so that they are aware of their child's growth.

Perfect! Yun is an excellent tutor, he engages with the student and my son always looks forward to his lessons. The lessons are well prepared and often feedback is given to me from Yun as a parent. I highly recommend Yun he’s first class
Hi, I am Ralf, from Germany. I have taken many Mandarin courses throughout my life, but Yun Hong is the best teacher I have ever had. I am still having classes with him.
His knowledge is broad and his teaching methodology is useful and practical. He is patient too. My Mandarin has improved a lot by taking his lessons. Thank you very much.I have worked together with Yun Hong to tutor part-time for a few years now. He is an extremely kind and patient tutor who would always go beyond what is expected of him - just to ensure his students fully understand the material.
I would strongly recommend his services to students from any level.Yun Hong tutored me in A-Levels Mathematics, and I received an A* despite my school teachers only predicting an A. He was also kind enough to share tips for my university application, which led to me receiving admission to Imperial College London.
I'd highly recommend Yun Hong to anyone who's looking for a professional, kind and dedicated tutor.View more recommendations
