About Judy
Ni hao, wo shi Judy.
My native language is Mandarin, and I pursued my undergraduate studies at a Normal University, where I conducted research on the flipped classroom approach. Additionally, I obtained the highest level of Mandarin proficiency and a national teaching certification. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Digital technologies communication and education at the University of Manchester. I have gained teaching experience through two different roles: serving as a teaching assistant for preschool children in traditional Chinese culture classes and as a teaching assistant for foreign students learning Chinese in an overseas Chinese education institution. As a result, I possess extensive experience in both practical and theoretical aspects of teaching.
I have an outgoing and easy-going personality and enjoy interacting with people. I hope that my students can all become my friends and that there will be no pressure during the lessons. Learning languages opens the door to other cultures, and the process should be both engaging and captivating.

I am a friendly and enthusiastic person who enjoys spending time with students. Considering my past experiences, currently, I am interested in teaching a beginner's Chinese course that covers Pinyin, Chinese phonetic correction, basic conversation, and excludes Chinese characters. So any beginner who is interested in Mandarin can participate.
Language acquisition should not solely rely on memorization through repetition. Instead, it should be centred around active recall, allowing students to learn through practical application, such as interaction, and building their own knowledge base.
