About Erika
As a native Portuguese speaker with a degree in Literature from Brazil, I have over 13 years of experience helping students of all levels master the Portuguese language. My passion for teaching comes from a deep love of language and a commitment to guiding each student on their unique learning journey. I use a natural language learning methodology, focusing on immersive and practical experiences that make learning intuitive, enjoyable, and effective.
I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, so I make it a priority to create a supportive, relaxed, and engaging learning environment. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, my lessons are tailored to your specific goals and learning style. By incorporating cultural elements like literature, music, and media, I offer a rich, well-rounded language experience that goes beyond traditional grammar exercises.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with my students and make them feel confident in their progress. My approach is built on patience, encouragement, and a genuine desire to see my students succeed.
I’m excited to help you on your journey to mastering Portuguese and building the confidence to communicate naturally and fluently!

I specialize in a natural language learning methodology, using immersive, practical techniques to help students achieve fluency and confidence.
I believe in creating a relaxed and immersive environment where students are exposed to the language as naturally as possible. I use techniques such as storytelling, conversations on everyday topics, and the incorporation of media like music, videos, and articles.
This holistic exposure allows students to build their vocabulary and understanding of language patterns without feeling overwhelmed by rules and memorization.
