About Margarita
Hello, I’m Margarita—a native Russian speaker with both Russian and British citizenship. I studied Russian language and literature (philology) for four years at Moscow State University before building an international career in London, where I worked as a senior programme manager in fintech.
Having spent much of my adult life between Russian and British cultures, I understand not only both languages but also the humour, habits and cultural nuances behind them. After leaving corporate life, I decided to build a more independent life around travel, sailing, learning and sharing what I know.
I want to teach Russian because I love language, cultural exchange and interesting conversation.
I am patient, curious and organised, while my style is friendly and relaxed. Whether you are learning Russian for travel, work, family, culture or simple curiosity, I will help you progress without ever feeling embarrassed about making mistakes.

My lessons are designed for adults who want to use real Russian. I teach complete beginners, returning learners and more advanced students who want to speak naturally, improve their pronunciation, or use Russian for travel, relationships, culture or work.
Each 45-minute online lesson is tailored to your goals and interests. We combine useful vocabulary, conversation, listening and pronunciation with enough grammar to make everything click. You will start speaking from the first lesson, but you will never be put on the spot or made to feel foolish.
I am a native Russian speaker and studied Russian language and literature (philology) for four years at Moscow State University. This gives me a strong academic understanding of Russian, as well as an instinctive feel for how the language is actually spoken today. Having lived and worked in Britain for much of my adult life, I can explain even difficult concepts in clear, natural English.
My background as a senior programme manager in London fintech also means my lessons are organised, practical and particularly well suited to professionals. Expect intelligent conversation, friendly encouragement, cultural insight and occasional dry humour. Personalised notes and optional homework are provided when useful.
