About Carolina
I’m Carolina Ares, a native Spanish teacher from Argentina and a certified instructor of Spanish as a second language with over 10 years of experience. I’ve taught at the Cervantes Institute and the Parent Program at the American School of Budapest. My lessons are student-centered and adapted to each learner’s goals, level, and learning style. I use a communicative and interactive approach, prioritizing real-life language practice. Authentic and varied materials: articles, podcasts, videos, and cultural resources to make learning dynamic and relevant. Applied grammar: clear and simple explanations, always in a practical context so students can use what they learn immediately. Focus on the four skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing, with special attention to fluency and pronunciation. Personalized lessons: activities designed to fit each student’s needs (IB exams, professional communication, travel, interviews, etc.). Continuous assessment and feedback: supporting progress with specific exercises and constructive feedback. My goal is for every student to learn effectively, stay motivated, and truly enjoy the process of discovering a new language and culture.
