Hi! My name is María and I'm from Madrid, Spain, where I've lived for most of my life. Back in August I moved to Cork to pursue a Master's in Translation Studies, and so far I'm loving it! In my free time I love to read, knit, and try new food spots 🧇.

My lessons tend to be engaging and fun, as I have learned from my years as a language student and teacher that this is the best way to go. Classes are typically around one hour long, but it always depends on the topic, level, and each student's own preference. Most of my experience is in preparing students for college entrance exams. However, I have also taught conversation classes for people who are looking to get comfortable with the language and get fluent quickly. Perfect! I just had my first lesson with Maria, and it was a great experience! From the very beginning, she was incredibly easy-going and friendly, which made me feel comfortable right away.
She is clearly very prepared and professional. The lesson was well-structured, yet still relaxed and enjoyable. In our first session, we also took the time to discuss my goals, and she created a tailored learning plan based exactly on what I need.
I’m already feeling motivated and excited to continue learning with her. I highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a supportive, organised, and engaging Spanish teacher!- Luca is a very engaged student who is clearly very excited to keep learning Spanish. He is upfront about his goals and has no trouble communicating what he is expecting from our lessons together. He already knows a lot and it is obvious he practices, so I hope I'll be able to give him the final confidence push he needs to speak fluent Spanish on a day-to-day basis.
