About Maritza
I'm Marie, a native Spanish speaker with a varied background — I've studied tourism, foreign trade, mechanical design, and marketing, and worked for years in the hospitality and travel industry, communicating daily with clients from different countries.
That experience shaped the way I teach: with patience, warmth, and a genuine interest in making sure the other person truly understands, not just hears.
Outside of teaching, I love creating and connecting with people, and I bring that same care and attention to every class I give.

My lessons are based on full immersion — we speak only in Spanish from the very first class, because that's how you truly learn to think in the language, not just translate it.
I have years of experience communicating with people from all over the world through my work in the tourism industry, working closely with travel agencies and tour operators. That experience taught me patience, clarity, and how to explain things step by step until they truly make sense.
I focus on students who already have some Spanish and want to gain real fluency and confidence — practising natural conversation, improving pronunciation, and feeling comfortable speaking without fear of making mistakes.
In our first class, we'll talk calmly so I can understand where you are and what you'd most like to improve. Don't worry about making mistakes — that's how we learn to speak.
