About Paola

I have a background in ESL and a natural empathy with ESL learners, having moved to the USA as a native Spanish speaker when I was five years old. After a career in law which included working for Baker &a McKenzie and at another multinational as Legal Manager, I retrained as a primary teacher. While training and practising as a lawyer in Colombia, I also worked as a simultaneous and consecutive translator, later setting up and running a translations
company, employing five translators and overseeing their work. I completed my PGCEI with University of
Nottingham, passing with merit.

About the lesson

I am a native speaker Spanish teacher that has 5 years experience teaching the British curriculum. Before that, I taught Spanish to young adults and had my own translations company for 10 years. I build excellent relationships with my students. My students know the expectations of them and always make good progress, evidenced by their receptive and productive skills. My planning of lessons is always completed to a high standard, ahead of time and tailored to the learner's need. I use a wide range of resources and platforms to guarantee pupil's learning of the language.
