About Niamh
I have always loved working with people and helping to develop creative ideas. Becoming a workshop facilitator in college really allowed me to develop a work ethic in tutoring, especially with leaving cert students.
As a working artist, I have been through the Leaving Cert Art curriculum, an Undergraduate degree and a Level 6 Higher Certificate. Within each of these I have always distinguished a creative discipline that followed a lot of the same tactics I learned as a Leaving Cert student.
I understand the LC course content and the pressures that can come with it. I believe in channeling the best of your creativity, what YOU - the student, are interested in. Art can be a relaxing and enjoyable experience once you find your footing, I am here to help you do that. As daunting as some elements of Art can be, there are lots of ways to try new things.

All classes are conducted over Zoom to facilitate the busy lifestyle of Leaving Certificate students. Each lesson will last 60 minutes. We will work from up to date examples of portfolios and/or art history essays and resources. These can be worked into current classwork.
During my time at NCAD I conducted several workshops for visiting secondary school students and first year college students. I have years of experience in building art portfolios and giving private tutoring on art portfolio building. I am a working and exhibiting artist and costume designer which has allowed me to keep up to date with new art and techniques.
Portfolio building classes consist of a variety of lessons that can be adapted to the needs of each student.
