About Lauren
My name is Lauren and I am an Oxford University (BA History) graduate. I passed my Solicitors Qualifying Exams in August having attained a Distinction in my MA Law (PGDL + Dissertation) course. I initially attended a non-fee-paying state school in South Wales, where I achieved 11*s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A Level (English Literature, History, Art & Design and Welsh Baccalaureate), plus an A in AS Level Maths.
I am not a boring tutor. I believe engagement is key and dedicate time to tailoring every lesson to each student’s specific learning style, requirements, and aspirations. This means my students build on areas of low confidence, reinforce their knowledge with practice, and achieve their goals without being bored out of their minds.
It is fair to say I am not ‘all academia, no personality’. I am a drummer and an artist, and I enjoy running and going to the gym. I am friendly and relatable, and I would love it if you picked me as your tutor!

I love teaching, and I am passionate about sharing my experiences and helping others reach their potential. I have been tutoring history at GCSE, A Level and Undergraduate Level for two years and received only five star reviews.
Past students and their parents have remarked:
'Lauren has been a great help to our son. Over the past few lessons, he has gained in confidence and is now able to approach his school work in a more structured and methodical way. He really looks forward to every lesson. We fully endorse Lauren for anyone else who is looking for an engaging and effective tutor.'
'Lauren is an incredibly engaging, personable and approachable tutor whose lessons never fail to improve my understanding. Her approach is very student-led, so I always feel as though I'm getting the most out of our classes. She has a deep understanding of the importance of both content and exam technique, which has been really helpful in improving my confidence in an exam setting, and in understanding how History works on the whole as a subject.'
'Lauren is an amazing, knowledgeable tutor and provides entertaining lessons that keep me engaged throughout. The way she teaches the course information is very useful and can be applied to any essay. Her lessons are brilliant, thank you so much! :)'
'Lauren helped me edit and structure my dissertation and was an amazing help! Would 100% recommend if your diss needs an extra pair of eyes, Lauren was very constructive and has made the editing process much less daunting. Thanks so much Lauren :)'
