About Benita
Hello, my name is Benita, I got an A in A level sociology and I am currently studying Adult nursing at the University of Nottingham. I am very passionate about sociology as I find it very interesting and I want to share my passion with others so that they can enjoy it and improve at the same time. I plan to make my lessons informative, interesting and interactive for students. I am willing to adapt my teaching style to meet pupils' needs so that they will find topics less difficult, ensuring that when they leave the lesson they will feel more confident in the topic/subject. As well as coming out of the sessions with additional knowledge they can apply to their work which will improve their grades. :)

My lessons will be 1hr each for A level students. During the beginning of my lesson I start off with recap questions on what we did the previous week to see how well my student has retained and understood the lesson taught last week. I also maintain their progress, and if they are struggling, I will focus on their weaknesses to help them progress. If they are doing well in the recap questions, I will increase the difficulty to help them be more confident. After our recap questions, I will begin teaching them the main topic of their choice and teaching them in a way that they will engage in the lesson and enjoy in order for them to improve. After the main topic, I test my students on what they have learnt so far in order to make sure they are paying attention and learning in the lesson. Finally, I like to end my lessons on feedback, which involves them telling me what they enjoyed in the lesson and what they would like me to do differently in the next lesson to help them revise better in sociology. My goal is to see my students improve weekly and reach their expected grade or do even better.
