About Kate

I am a current professional dancer in NYC and CA, recently with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Buglisi Dance Theater and Covenant Ballet Theater. Over the years I have trained at Manhattan Youth Ballet, LaGuardia Arts HS, The Taylor School, MOVE(NYC), The Graham School, and received a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College. Currently on faculty at LaGuardia HS for dance, guest teacher at Scripps College, Covenant Ballet Theater and Lincoln Center Education. I have a lot of knowledge in this field that I would love to share with you! I believe in fostering a supportive, challenging, and kind environment in the dance studio. With confident students comes great artists!

About the lesson

Dance training for all age groups from beginner children to pre professional dancers to adults looking to try something new. With my classical background, I teach ballet and modern dance with an emphasis on a stable foundation. From there we begin to expand the artistic qualities of the dancer and learn some repertory if interested. I also work with middle school, high school, and college students looking to prepare for upcoming auditions. We focus on technique, solo work, and improvisation.
