OCAD University graduate with a BFA degree in Life Studies, specializing in botanical illustration, watercolour painting, human portraiture & the figure, wildlife & natural elements.

I know Ashlynn as a friend an co-worker at Miss Jenny's Studio where we both teach children art online! We also collaborated on a portrait drawing workshop online for adults. She is extremely positive, understanding, gentle. communicative, and wonderful to work with! Her artist talents are wide spread, and I believe she can teach all ages of people wonderfully. Ashlynn's watercolor, shading, colored pencil, figurative and botanical art always blows me away.

Ashlynn is a very creative and inspiring artist. She has facilitated many accessible and engaging art workshops at L’Arche Hamilton (a community for people with and without disabilities). Ashlynn is so thoughtful in ensuring she is choosing a workshop that is interesting and engaging with appropriate materials, and also considers recycled materials. Ashlynn also led a weekly youth art program at L’Arche Hamilton and engaged youth to explore many mediums and projects of interest. This allowed for many youth to access programming that they may otherwise not have to opportunity to be involved with which helped their self-esteem, confidence and relationships. Ashlynn is extremely organized, sensitive to others’ needs and creative which is such a benefit as a teacher supporting others.

Ashlynn is an absolute pleasure to work with on independent sessions we have been doing together. She makes it easy for you to walk through steps feeling comfortable and confident because she provides really clear detailed instructions. She also makes it easy for lessons to occur virtually and in person allowing you to not only hear her instructions but see visual demonstrations of the technique.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ashlynn through a watercolor workshop she hosted, and it was such a wonderful experience. From the moment the workshop began, she created a welcoming, relaxed, and encouraging environment that made it easy to feel comfortable, even though I am not an experienced artist.
Ashlynn is not only talented and knowledgeable, but also patient, friendly, and genuinely passionate about helping others discover their creativity. She took the time to explain techniques clearly, offer helpful guidance, and encouraged me to make the experience my own.
