About Khadija
Hello! I’m Khadija, an English educator with a strong academic background in Applied Linguistics and hands-on experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds, including those with special education needs. My teaching is grounded in empathy, structure, and adaptability. I use research-backed methods to make reading, writing, grammar, and language learning meaningful and accessible for all learners. Each lesson is thoughtfully planned—with clear objectives, engaging activities, and time for reflection—so students leave feeling confident and motivated. I specialize in working with middle school through undergraduate students, and I take pride in building strong, trusting relationships that support growth both academically and personally. If you're looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and passionate tutor who truly cares about your progress, I’m here to help.

As a tutor, I believe in creating a supportive, student-centered environment where learners feel confident and empowered. My approach is highly adaptable—I tailor each session based on the student’s needs, learning style, and goals. Whether we’re working on reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar, or creative expression, I incorporate real-world texts, visual prompts, and interactive exercises to make learning engaging and relevant.
A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in, followed by a targeted skill activity (like close reading or structured writing practice), and ends with reflection and goal-setting. I also emphasize organization and study strategies to help students grow independently.
What sets me apart is my academic background in Applied Linguistics, hands-on experience in both mainstream and special education classrooms, and my training in teaching English learners. I bring cultural sensitivity, patience, and creativity to every session, ensuring each learner feels seen and supported.
My lessons are designed for middle school to undergraduate-level students, including those with learning differences, international students, and anyone looking to strengthen their English language and writing skills.
