About Alex
As mentioned in the description, I am a second-year Commerce student in UCD. I also do a lot of work with Examly (a very popular study platform) in which I work closely with and advise the CEO in the areas of accounting, economics, and business. This included tutoring, predictions, mock papers, and more.
I have enjoyed teaching since my own Leaving Cert years in which I got much enjoyment out of teaching my classmates and friends after school. I got satisfaction out of seeing them improve and also found it the best way for me to revise.
Since graduating, I have been teaching tutoring sessions in business, accounting, and economics, managing numerous students each week, preparing notes, and helping with projects. I have always made time and prioritized my students. This was most evident during the Leaving Cert when I was waking up at 6 am the morning of each exam to fit in calls with each of my students. I was fitting in tutoring sessions while on holidays to make sure I didn't leave any student feeling stuck.
When results day came, I received several text messages from students. One particular student's message stood out to me as I only started lessons with them mid-Leaving Cert. They were underprepared and very nervous about failing; however, I adapted my notes and lessons to fit the short time frame, giving them the absolute essentials while minimizing the less important topics. They were thrilled with their results in the end and got into their dream college course.

These lessons are for fifth and sixth year leaving cert students who want to improve their accounting grade. My goal is to help students achieve their goal grade, whether that be a H3 student who wants to get up to H1 standard or whether your goal is just to pass the subject. Normal accounting classes are taught in a one glove fits all way however students have different strengths and goals and the subject should be approached accordingly. I have helped students who only required small amounts of help to reach H1 level and I have also helped students who were convinced they were going to fail achieve much higher then a minimum passing grade.

Alex is really good. He gave me accounting grinds and made everything so easy to understand. Helped me go from a H4 to a H1.
