About Evelyn
I was born in Germany, but grew up in the UK, achieving a BA and MA at University College, London. Some years school experience. Knowledge of German literature. Strong in speaking, grammar, comprehension and good communication skills. I have been online tutoring for a year and work from a standard textbook with an easy starting point. I approach each topic methodically and then question my student to achieve a solid comprehension of how to communicate in German. I am patient and kind, and hope my students are the same.

In German studies, I present my topics in a lively and fun way, using a textbook, which helps keep the momentum going. This begins with simple sentences and a small amount of grammar each week which builds up gradually to provide a solid structure to the language. Yet I do this by questioning the student about them, building from simple to slightly more complicated as the student can manage it, as no two students are the same.

Perfect! I liked how Evelyn went through various grammar rules, ensured I understood the basics before moving on to anything more, and listened and then adapted our lesson to fit my specific learning requirements.

Perfect! I enjoy using a story I know well to help with learning vocabulary and grammatical constructions. I also like the book Evelyn suggested, which I will use to study modal verbs before next lesson.
- Definite passion to learn, and learnt quickly. We have 'homed in' quickly on what exactly she has to work on and made a plan. She and I are eager to continue, and she has expressed her satisfaction to me. A delightful experience!Evelyn's response :
