About Lauren
I have sung, danced, and acted from a young age, then decided at the age of 9 that musical theatre was the career I wanted to go for (previously I'd wanted to be a vet, but my teacher told me I'd need to practise on dead animals I changed my mind - previous to that I'd wanted to be a nun because I liked the outfits). I received my degree in Musical Theatre and Dance from The Urdang Academy in London, and spent 11 years in the capital both performing and teaching. I've taught at various stage schools, facilitated workshops in primary and secondary schools, and coached adult performers. I love to share my expertise and experience with my students to ignite the same passion my teachers have (and still do!) stoked in me!

I've been teaching drama & singing for over 10 years, alongside performing across the country. I offer coaching in acting and singing with a specialisation in musical theatre, to young people from 4 and up as well as adults. Our classes together can cover a variety of needs, such as confidence building, audition prep, acting through song, and repertoire sessions. I'm a firm believer in finding the fun and joy in every session - if you're not having fun as a performer, then what's the point in doing it! I work hard to create a safe space for you to make mistakes, laugh at yourself, and come away with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
