About Tobiloba
I’m a passionate music teacher and performer with 14 years of experience teaching the clarinet, recorder, piano, and music theory to students of all ages and levels. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the very first time or you’re working toward more advanced skills, I’d love to guide you on your musical journey.
I have taught in secondary schools as both a part-time and full-time music instructor, and I’ve also worked with many students through private tutoring. Over the years, I’ve helped beginners grow into confident players and supported advanced students as they prepared for performances, exams, and auditions.
Alongside teaching, I’m also an active performer on the clarinet. I’ve played with different orchestras and ensembles at concerts and events, and these experiences help me bring real-world musical insight and practical technique into every lesson.
I hold MUSON certifications in both Theory of Music and Clarinet performance. After getting to an advanced level in clarinet. Currently, I perform with a standard orchestra at a notable Anglican cathedral in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria.
Music is the one thing I can do all day without batting an eye, aside from architecture, which I studied to the Master's level. My ultimate agenda for musical knowledge is to learn at least one instrument from each instrument category, and to actualize that goal, I am currently having fun with the double bass and timpani.
