About Doremi
Native Taiwanese type of Mandarin Speaker in Scotland – Master Real-Life Conversations!
Hi there! I’m Doremi, and I’ve been living in beautiful Scotland for the past 3 years. As a native Mandarin speaker, I know exactly what it’s like to bridge two different cultures and languages.
If you are tired of dry textbooks and want to speak Chinese like a local, you’ve come to the right place!
My Approach: I specialise in Conversational Mandarin. My classes are relaxed, supportive, and 100% focused on your speaking confidence. Think of our sessions as a "virtual coffee catch-up" where you learn naturally through real dialogue.
What I Offer:
* Topic-Based Chat: From Chinese street food to business etiquette, we’ll talk about what interests you.
* Real-Life Scenarios: Role-play for travelling, ordering dim sum, or surviving a business meeting.
* Cultural Insights: I’ll explain the "why" behind the words, sharing the nuances of modern Chinese culture.
* Instant Feedback: I provide live vocabulary notes and pronunciation corrections during our chat.
Who is this for?
* Beginners who want a stress-free start.
* Intermediate learners who feel "stuck" and need more speaking practice.
* Travellers or Expats preparing for a trip to Asia.
I believe language learning should be fun and social, not a chore. Since I am based in the UK, I am very flexible with time zones for local learners!
Let’s get talking—send me a message to book your first online session!

My approach for teaching methodology is relaxed and conversational. No heavy grammar books! I focus on "Natural Acquisition" learning through real talk. And I offer 45-minute sessions or 60-minute deep dive for typical length of a lesson.
As a native speaker living in UK for 7 years, I understand the struggle of language barriers. I have helped friends and local learners improve their fluency by bridging the gap between textbook Chinese and real-life slang.
This course is for anyone from complete beginners who want to say their first words to intermediate learners who feel stuck and need more speaking confidence. Adult only (18+).
