About Tomomi

I have taught over 1200 online lessons, instructing learners from all over the world in Japanese. I specialize in teaching beginners and those who want to review Japanese they have studied before. Before becoming a Japanese language instructor, I worked for a major Japanese company for 15 years, where I was also involved in training support for foreign staff. In my work, I often had the opportunity to act as a moderator or facilitator, and I have been complimented on my clear voice and pronunciation. What I value most in my lessons is helping students actually use the Japanese they have learned and experience the joy of "I was able to express what I wanted to say!" and "I was able to communicate with the other person!" I will carefully support you not only in memorizing grammar and vocabulary, but also in being able to use it as your own language. Having studied and traveled abroad myself, I understand both the joys and difficulties of learning a foreign language. Let's steadily progress at your own pace, clarifying each point you don't understand one by one. I enjoy traveling and cooking, and I also enjoy traditional Japanese food culture and lifestyle, such as fermented foods and making pickled plums. In my lessons, I can talk not only about textbook Japanese, but also about modern Japanese life and culture. It's perfectly fine if it's your first time or if it's been a while. Let's work together to increase those moments when you can say, "I spoke!" and "I was understood!" in Japanese.

Whether you're learning Japanese for the first time or want to relearn it, please feel free to join us. I have taught over 1200 online lessons and supported many beginners and those looking to relearn the language. Lessons are customized to each individual's level and goals. Support in English is available.
